2023 Board of Directors

Vibrant Lives of Montana is grateful for those who choose to serve on our Board of Directors. Our board is unique in it's positions and it's operation.  Collaboration and consensus is our language. We meet quarterly; meetings are open to the public. We also participate in an annual board of directors' day-long planning/co-creating retreat.  Recruitment for service is open.  If you wish to serve our community in this way, please see our 2024 description and application for Board of Directors service.
Melainya Ryan, Founder of Vibrant Lives of Montana
Melainya is a licensed clinical professional counselor, a yoga educator, a meditation instructor, and a transformational coach.  She has more than a decade’s experience working in the mental health field and collaborating with community organizations to address the gap in mental health resources in Beaverhead County.  She spent several years serving on boards, task forces, and coalitions prior to founding Vibrant Lives of Montana.

Elaine Spicer, Community Coordinator at Vibrant Lives of Montana & Board Member
Elaine is a licensed massage therapist and sound healer and has spent the last decade sharing complementary health modalities.  She has been with Vibrant Lives of Montana for two years, and has been instrumental in developing and coordinating programming, creating marketing material, and doing outreach via social media.

Maggie Marting, Board Member
Maggie is a retired nurse who spent the entirety of her career working in women’s health as a clinic manager, a midwife, and a perinatal nurse.  She has been practicing complementary health modalities for much of her life and practicing with Vibrant Lives for more than five years.

Sara is a professional artist, as well as a professional art educator. As a registered Art Teacher K-12, Sara taught art for all ages, pre-K through college. In 2000, Sara founded the Art Mobile of Montana program, that served (and continues to serve) K-12 schools as well as community groups of all types, for the entire State of Montana. Currently, Sara enjoys teaching arts-related classes and sessions for healing, and creating and teaching expressive arts classes. She also creates and facilitates ceremonial situations that involve rhythm, musical instruments and play, as well as expressive dance and creative writing. Sara is also a Qualified Therapeutic Touch Practitioner (a form of hands-on or distance healing, registered through the Therapeutic Touch International Association) as well as a registered Associate Chaplain.
