Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) refer to various forms of abuse, neglect, and household challenges that occur before the age of 18. These early experiences can significantly impact health and well-being throughout life—but research also shows that resilience can heal and transform these effects.
The Beaverhead County ACEs Task Force is dedicated to cultivating and teaching the skills of resilience—within individuals, within families, within organizations, and within our broader community of Beaverhead and Madison Counties. Through education, collaboration, and community action, we work to strengthen the protective factors that help people thrive even in the face of adversity.
The Task Force meets monthly, facilitates parent and community support programs, and offers trainings designed to increase awareness, build connection, and foster a culture of resilience across Southwest Montana.
